Tips for Guests
Guest Tips - what to expect at Canyon Run Ranch

Canyon Run Ranch spans 153 acres in the scenic Stillwater River Valley. It's rustic 1850's barn and bountiful natural surroundings — forests, wild flowers and waterfalls — make Canyon Run one of the most sought after rustic wedding venues in the Midwest.
Couples chose Canyon Run because it is secluded, unseen from the road and far from any highway noise. There are no sidewalks, no asphalt paved parking lot, no concrete ramps. It is a world apart. They chose Canyon Run because it reflects who they are: genuine, unique, earthy and unpretentious.
If you are a wedding guest here, come prepared to spend some quality time soaking in the great outdoors. Wear shoes that will allow you to enjoy a leisurely walk to the woods, where the ceremony is most likely to take place. You will regret those spiked heels, but a sturdy pair of wedges would work just fine.
The path is uphill on a gravel path for a bit, then a wide swath of grass cuts through a 10-acre field of Ohio pollinator wildflowers. The walk is less than 8 minutes from the barn to the ceremony site, unless you stop to smell the flowers, or admire the birds and butterflies. We hope that you do.
If you are in a rush, or unable to walk up the hill, we have options. We provide two EV 6-passenger limo shuttle carts, and an 8-passenger Ranger Crew, to transport you up the hill. If you prefer the royal treatment, catch a ride to the entrance of the woods.
There is also the option of driving your car directly to the woods. Parking in this area is limited to about twelve vehicles, but it should be more than enough to accommodate folks who are unable to make the walk or are physically disabled.
Once you get to the woods, a meandering path through the trees offers beautiful views of the property and leads you to a clearing on the tip overlooking the canyon where the ceremony will take place. There is the option of taking the wider, straight path to the woods, suitable for wheelchairs.
The barn is the real deal, built in the 1850's of hand-hewn beams, large trees, and wooden pegs. It's rustic, authentic, raw. We have fans, large air coolers, and heaters if it's chilly, though you will want to dress for the weather in case of any extremes.
The restrooms are newly built and handicapped accessible. There is a baby-changing table (actually it doesn't change babies, just diapers).
Parking is down the lane past the barns to a grass clearing. You can also park along the lane. Save the parking between the barns for folks that have a more difficult time with walking.
We do not allow RV's or trailers. Service animals are welcome, but no pets.
Troy is less than 15 minutes from Canyon Run, and there are numerous hotels to choose from. Uber and Lift do service the area.
